Scope and drawings received. We price the electrical package including the supply and the approvals.

Staging planned around trading hours, access and other contractors on site.

Outages taken in planned windows, with generators where the site cannot lose supply.

Delivered work
- Power and lighting upgrade across a live public heritage precinct on Sydney Harbour. The site stayed open, and the historic vessels at the wharf stayed powered on a backup generator while the cabling beneath them was replaced. Includes marine grade detailing and cathodic protection to the seawall.
- Multi tenancy commercial building: overhead mains replaced from the network pole and a new 200A main switchboard installed, coordinated across every tenancy in one planned Saturday night shutdown under traffic control.

Thorntek is a Level 2 ASP with both Ausgrid and Endeavour Energy across all four classes. The new service, consumer mains, main switchboard, metering and network approvals are completed by the people carrying out the work, under one program, with no second contractor.

Common questions
Can you work on a site that has to stay open?
Yes, most of our commercial work is on open sites. Work is staged so trading areas stay on, with temporary supply where a section must come off and shutdown windows agreed before work starts.
How do you manage a shutdown across multiple tenancies?
One program, coordinated with every tenancy and completed in a single planned window. Each tenant is told the date and outage time in advance, and no one is off longer than advised.
Do you carry out after hours and weekend work?
Yes, it is usually the most practical approach on occupied sites. Night and weekend shutdowns, traffic control and access are planned into the quote.
Can you complete the supply connection as well?
Yes. We hold Level 2 ASP 4869 with both Ausgrid and Endeavour Energy across all four classes, so new services, consumer mains, metering and network approvals are completed in house alongside the works.
