Proof, not a promise
We delivered the power and lighting upgrade across a live public heritage precinct on Sydney Harbour. The site stayed open the whole way through, and the historic vessels moored at the wharf stayed powered on a backup generator while the cabling underneath them was replaced. It included marine grade detailing and cathodic protection to the seawall.
On a multi tenancy commercial building we replaced the overhead mains from the network pole and installed a new 200A main switchboard, coordinated across every tenancy and delivered in one planned Saturday night shutdown under traffic control.

The supply connection is not somebody else's problem
Commercial jobs stall at the supply. A new service, bigger consumer mains, a main switchboard, metering, and network approvals behind all of it, usually needing a second contractor and a queue.
Thorntek is a Level 2 ASP with both Ausgrid and Endeavour Energy across all four classes, so that whole layer is in house. One contractor, one program, and the approvals lodged by the people doing the work.

Common questions
Can you work on a site that has to stay open?
That is most of what we do on the commercial side. The work is staged so the parts of the site that have to keep trading stay on, with temporary supply where a section has to come off, and the shutdown windows agreed with you before anything starts.
How do you handle a shutdown across multiple tenancies?
One program, coordinated with every tenancy, executed in a single planned window. Each tenant gets told the date and the outage time in advance, and the changeover is sequenced so nobody is off longer than they were told.
Do you do after hours and weekend work?
Yes, and for occupied commercial sites it is usually the only sensible way. Night and weekend shutdowns get planned into the quote with the traffic control and access arranged, not sprung on you partway through.
Can you handle the supply connection as well?
Yes. We hold Level 2 ASP 4869 with both Ausgrid and Endeavour Energy across all four classes, so new services, consumer mains, metering and the network approvals are all done in house alongside the works.

Regularly. We take the electrical package on council and head contractor jobs and run it to the program, including the network approvals that usually sit outside a normal electrical scope.
