Single phase or three phase?
Most Sydney homes are single phase, and a single phase charger tops the car up overnight without drama. Three phase charges faster, the right pick for bigger batteries, two car households and business premises.

How the install runs

Tell us the car, the charger if you have picked one, and send photos of your meter box with the door open through the contact page.

We check your supply and switchboard capacity and come back with a fixed quote. Free site visit if it is needed.

We install the charger on its own dedicated circuit with the correct protection to AS/NZS 3000, upgrade anything the supply needs, and test the lot.

Smart charging set up, everything tested, and the Certificate of Compliance (CCEW) issued.
If the job includes a supply upgrade, every network approval that comes with it is handled by us.
The capacity check comes first
An EV charger is one of the biggest loads you can add to a property. Before anything goes on the wall, we check that your supply and your switchboard can actually carry it.
As a Level 2 ASP we work on the service side as well as the installation, so if the consumer mains or the switchboard need upgrading first, the same crew does the lot. One contractor, no handover.

Smart chargers decide when to charge, not just how fast. We set yours up to run on off peak rates overnight, or to soak up your solar through the day, whichever suits how the property is set up.
Common questions
How much does it cost to install an EV charger at home?
The price depends on the charger you choose, the cable run from your switchboard to where you park, and whether the board needs work to take the new circuit. We quote it fixed from photos of the inside of your meter box and your parking spot. Upload them through the contact page.
Can I install an EV charger myself, or does it have to be an electrician?
No. An EV charger is a hardwired, high load circuit that must be installed by a licensed electrician, with a Certificate of Compliance issued for the work. If the supply or metering needs upgrading to support it, that is Level 2 ASP work, which we also hold. Get in touch and we will do it properly.
Do I need three phase power for a home EV charger?
No. Most home chargers are 7kW single phase and fully recharge an EV overnight. If you want faster 22kW charging, we can upgrade your supply to three phase and complete the meter exchange the same day. Tell us what you are after through the contact page.
Will my switchboard need upgrading to install an EV charger?
Sometimes. Older boards can lack the space or the protection for a dedicated high load circuit. We check this from your photos before quoting, and because switchboards are our bread and butter, any board work happens in the same job. Photos of the inside of your meter box through the contact page gets it started.
How long does EV charger installation take?
A straightforward install with the charger near the switchboard is done within the day; longer cable runs or a switchboard upgrade at the same time extend the job, and we confirm the timeframe in your fixed quote. Send your photos through and we will lock it in.
Are there any rebates for EV charger installation in NSW?
There's currently no NSW rebate for home EV chargers. Businesses can access NSW destination charging grants when funding rounds are open. If your site could qualify, we'll flag it as part of your quote.
