How the installation runs

We check your supply and switchboard capacity and provide a fixed quote, with a free site visit where needed.

We install the charger on a dedicated circuit with the correct protection to AS/NZS 3000 and upgrade anything the supply requires.

Smart charging is configured, everything is tested, and the Certificate of Compliance (CCEW) is issued.
Any supply upgrade includes every network approval, managed by us.
The capacity check comes first
We confirm your supply and switchboard can carry the charger before anything is installed. If the consumer mains or the switchboard need upgrading, the same crew completes the whole job as a Level 2 ASP.
Smart charging
We configure your charger to charge on off peak rates overnight or from your solar during the day.
Common questions
How much does it cost to install an EV charger at home?
Price depends on the charger, the cable run from your switchboard to where you park, and whether the board needs work. Upload photos of the inside of your meter box and your parking space through the contact page for a fixed quote.
Can I install an EV charger myself, or does it have to be an electrician?
It must be installed by a licensed electrician, with a Certificate of Compliance issued for the work. Any supply or metering upgrade to support it is Level 2 ASP work, which we are also accredited for.
Do I need 3 phase power for a home EV charger?
No, most home chargers are 7kW single phase and fully recharge an EV overnight. For faster 22kW charging, we upgrade your supply to 3 phase and exchange the meter the same day.
Will my switchboard need upgrading to install an EV charger?
Sometimes; older boards can lack the space or protection for a dedicated high load circuit. We check from photos of the inside of your meter box before quoting, and any board work is done in the same job.
How long does EV charger installation take?
A straightforward installation near the switchboard is completed within the day. Longer cable runs or a switchboard upgrade extend it, and your fixed quote confirms the timeframe.
Are there any rebates for EV charger installation in NSW?
There is currently no NSW rebate for home EV chargers. Businesses can access NSW destination charging grants when funding rounds are open, and we note it in your quote if your site may qualify.
