Level 2 ASP + Every approval lodged by us
Level 2 electrician in North Sydney.
North Sydney is strata towers alongside older brick streets, with plenty of buildings still on their original supply. Thorntek upgrades building mains and main switchboards in planned, communicated outages, and covers unit level work on the same Ausgrid accreditation.

Ausgrid runs the network in North Sydney
Every connection, mains upgrade and service alteration in North Sydney is lodged with them and approved before energising. As a Level 2 ASP we lodge the application, do the work and arrange the energising in one program. You never deal with the network.
Meters too: we are accredited to exchange and upgrade meters on behalf of retailers, same day as the works, coordinated with your retailer.

Common questions
Is North Sydney on the Ausgrid or Endeavour Energy network?
North Sydney is on the Ausgrid network, a mix of building supplies in the centre and overhead streets around it. Our Level 2 accreditation covers it, and we run the full process for you.
Can you clear a defect notice in North Sydney?
Yes. Ausgrid lists the exact defects on page two of the notice, and for a North Sydney strata block that is usually the main switchboard or building mains. We repair the defect and lodge the Notice of Service Work (NOSW) to sign it off. Send both pages to connect@thorntek.com.au and we will put a fixed quote together.
How much does a Level 2 electrician cost in North Sydney?
Every North Sydney job is priced as a fixed quote before we start. On strata work the price turns on the size of the building's mains, the state of the main switchboard and how the outage has to be staged. Send your details through the contact page and we will price it properly.
Who is responsible for the power line from the street to my house?
The service line from Ausgrid's pole to your point of attachment is the owner's to maintain, not the network's, and so is everything through to the main switchboard. In a North Sydney strata building that duty sits with the owners corporation. Work on any of it is restricted to a Level 2 ASP, so get us involved early.
The power is out or a line is damaged in North Sydney. Who do I call?
Start with Ausgrid on 13 13 88 to report a North Sydney outage, and call 000 if a fallen line or damaged gear is putting anyone in danger. Ausgrid makes the street safe. The service line, point of attachment and meter panel on the property are then Thorntek's repair work.
